Ichi Ichi Ku Izakaya

Small authentic gem on the corner next to the botanical gardens. They don't take bookings, so try to get in before 6.30 to avoid waiting. But they also do takeaway orders as well. The food came out really quickly. We ordered the monster roll, salmon tartare plus tempura udons. All way well presented and tasty except a slight heavy batter with the tempura. Staff was attentive and always topping up our waters frequently.
Good place to go for a brunch or dinner after a walk around the tan. Will be back!

Small Izakaya on the corner opposite Botanical Garden. There are sushi, drinks and dessert on display by the entrance- take away only. Coffee, matcha latte and the like are served. Menu is quite extensive spanning from breakfast to dessert. Good attentive service, just right attentiveness, not too much. The only drawback is the tight space, tight seatings, not much leg room. The darker lighting is not my personal preference but romantic and moody for some. Food are good-not too tasty and overpowering- perfect, beautifully presented.
