Fast service, great price, and tasty food, pretty much the same as the upstairs Ichiban but just a food court version of it.

A great second option if you are in need of a quick ichiban

If you are struggling to wait for tables at Ichibanboshi at level 2 but are craving for some ramen, then there is good news for you. Ichibanboshi now opens Ichibanboshi Express at the lower ground food court to satisfy your craving for ramen noodles, Japanese rice dishes as well as set menu (bento set) that comes with sides and soup.

I decided to give this a try during my lunch break one weekday afternoon. The food court was quite busy but there are always available seats for one or two, if you dont mind sitting next to strangers.

I ordered their karage set. The chicken was generously portioned, but it was pretty oily and wet, and not crispy and was a little lukewarm. The rice was also generously portioned. The miso soup, however, was in a very small foam cup.

Taste wise, the chicken karage was a little too sour for my liking.
