Had a casual birthday dinner for my dad here and chose one of the banquet menus. The staff were great and very accommodating. They gave us tables along the side of the restaurant, it is still amongst the other patrons but it was still comfortable for seating around 20 people. The food was fresh, and the staff even gave a memorable rendition of 'Happy Birthday' for my dad, with wriggly balloons and more! Such a great night and will recommend this for anyone looking for a casual function.
I've now been here a few times and tried other dishes such as the sushi, the bentos (karage and the waygu) and I love it! The red dragon roll is my favorite, a California roll topped with salmon and blow torched with a special sauce...
The food is fresh and their $3 house sake perfectly complements your meal. Will come here to try their set menu next!
I was recommended to try this ramen joint by friends so I did. The ramen was pretty good, but I'd still rate Gumshara and Ryo's above it. We had a sushi and sashimi boat that was nice. For desert I had a fish shaped waffle with red bean filling and black sesame ice-cream on the side. It was surprisingly good - the warm doughy waffle oozing with red bean while the black sesame ice-cream was nice and "sandy" in texture.
This place takes bookings so it makes it a good alternative to queuing up for Ryo's in Crows Nest.
