This customer has engaged Ideas All Trades to carry out work which was quoted and accepted before any start.
We were able to attend the property once but were unable to gain access to the property to complete works. After numerous failed attempts to contact the customer, we charged them only for the work carried out. We also transferred their deposit from another quoted works to the balance rather than holding it.
Only then did the customer note their dissatisfaction (3 months after the works were carried out), and has refused to pay the outstanding amount.
The account has now been sent to a debt collector, hence the multiple bad reviews they has posted over the internet.

Will Warren, your people were notified that we did not wish to have your contractors on site without supervision, and when you are given a day when they are meant to be turning up and you take a day off work and they do not show, people tend to become annoyed. And in reference to your comment about billing me for the job that had been carried out, how is over $1000 for a small plastering job honest, when the entire job to plaster and paint etc was just over $1000? You can get as many people to write glowing reviews for your business but people need to hear from people who have engaged your services, appalling is how I see it and so do many others when showed the invoices!!!

You were given 2 quotes, one for plastering and minimal paint and one for the remaining portion of painting. The total was $2,112.00, not $1,000.00.

You are painting a very different picture and for the sake of professionalism, I will not continue the argument via true local.

I might just add though, you were quoted prior to the work being carried out. You choose Ideas All Trades based on our quotes.

It seems to me that because I chose not to continue with your services, because your contractors didn;t show, you decided to get your revenge by over charging me for the small plastering job. Several other professionals along with the person who came and carried out the job have all questioned the $1065 pricetag for the job? You Sir are painting a very different picture for people who may try to take up your services. And I might add you were wanting payment BEFORE job had been completed also, painters never showed only the plasterer. Maybe if you were the one who came to look at the job you would see why I firmly believe that I am being over charged. It wasn't you who came to quote, therefore I don't believe you have the right to comment.

The other jobs were never finished because YOUR contractors didn't turn up on the specified day. So what you are saying is completely untrue and irrelevant to this feedback. Your staff also quoted on the job taking 3 days to paint, however another contractor, who was hired after your guys never showed, who turned up on time when asked did it in a day and a very quality job too I might add.

When you were asked to cease the job, the only thing that had been done was the plastering. The quoted price for that particular job was $1320 incl GST to be exact, and since I ceased that job you have now told me the plastering as that is all that has been carried out is $1056? So the painting including the labour, paint etc is only $264 for a quoted 3 day job? So I find your comments irrelevant when it is clear to me and alot of other professionals that this is a blatant money grab for being asked to cease.

As previously stated you never asked us or advised us to cease work until after we sent you the invoice.

Your staff was informed that due to the inability of your contractors not turning up to cease the job you then sent the invoice which was not itemised and I questioned due to the inflated cost of the job undertaken. I took a day off work waiting for your Tradies to arrive and they never did, this is the reason the contract was frustrated.

As I also explained to your staff, I was happy if I had to pay an amount, however gouging someone an extra $656 when $400 already paid is very rich, hence the reason why other contractors have contacted and quoted in writing $300 - $500 for that same plastering job, I have also been asking for an itemised account of what makes up this amount which I have been told on several occasions you dont do? I wonder why you dont provide itemised accounts?????? hmmmmmm
