I'm agreeing with mayabella. I was ringing around to find prices of frozen turkeys. I do this every year because the prices are hugely different and it makes sense to shop with my telephone. This year was no different in my search but when I rang IGA, I was told that it was all 'old stock' at a price of $11.99. I asked what exactly did 'old stock' mean, what were the sizes, what was the use-by date? I mentioned that IGA turkeys sounded terrible at best, especially when he said that this was 'old stock that we want to get rid of';. I asked if he'd check for me please... always being polite because manners work... Eventually he went to check and they had no whole frozen turkeys after all. My son bought cans of strawberries that, when opened, were muddy brown and looked moldy. He had not taken the docket so when I returned them to the store I did not expect a refund. I also did not expect to be told that 'canned strawberries look like this' or that I'd have to contact the maker rather than IGA taking any responsibility. Customer satisfaction did not exist today. A store credit would have been nice, or a semblence of concern. I won't be back and I will make sure to let my friends know that customer service is certainly not guaranteed at Ballina IGA.
