I had the misfortune of being served by Greta in the Darlinghurst Store around 11.35 am 4/4/17. I have a serious injury and am utilising a walking stick. I brought a recycled bag and went to a human checkout. I was told by Greta that if we have time we are happy to put groceries in bag. The groceries were just dumped on the counter. This was me struggling to pay, balancing on one foot and had dropped my walking stick. I asked if she could put them in the bag for me. She explained that they were happy to do it if not busy. There was one man behind who left and she did have the time. Disgusting and appalling conduct, poor service and another attitude of indifference and apathy. I had a genuine need for assistance. I have since spoke to the manager Tom who said staff always pack bags and that she was in the wrong. I am writing to Head Office as no one should have to experience this disservice. I'd say this place is handy for a quick stop before or during lunch if you need food for the day. However, it is on the pricey side especially downstairs where all the fresh food, cooked chicken, salads, and breads are. Comparing prices within the CBD i guess it is comparable. I just like coming here because it is in a convenient location and there is barely anyone shopping or doing a grocery run which makes it a super quick pitt stop when you need it! but like the reviewers below mention it isn't huge and nor would it win any supermarket awards.
