Friendly neighbourhood trattoria dishing up superb homemade pastas and simple salads. Luckily my Gnocchi Gorgonzola was on point, otherwise I would have had massive food envy over the Papardelle with Duck Ragu!
No dinner bookings, so just rock up with your BYO and remember to bring cash as credit cards are not accepted.
I've been here so many times, I've lost count. The service is always professional & friendly - but not too familiar. And the food is consistently good. Portion sizes are generous, prices reasonable, and the vibe is lively.
The staff have never been anything other than helpful with trying to find a spot quickly for 1 or 10 people. The place is popular, and rightly so. Plan for a wait by having a drink down the road at their bar called Fico (it's deliberately not well signed on the outside of the building - but the staff will helpfully, point you in the right direction). Then afterwards, enjoy your Italian pasta delights. Their desserts are a winner too. Simple, and flavoursome.
I love this place. The food is fantastic and very reasonable. Their specialty is the duch ragu which is just perfect but they also do a mean spagetti bolognese. It's well worth the wait...and you will. Go across the road to the pub on the corner and they'll call you.
Overrated Italian! Sure it has its diehard fans but it has been disappointing the countless times I've been.
The vego options are few and bland-tasting (the gnocci tastes like bullets of flour). If you're in the mood of good Italian, you can do better, and without having to stomach the ridiculous wait just to get in!
