Il Lago

I've visited Il Lago on countless occasions to dine in small groups, but last night was a bit of a mess! I had preordered 40 meals (3 courses) in over 3months advance and had reminded staff of our arrival several times leading up to the day. Unfortunately due to the nature of the dining experience, we had a limited amount of time, hence the pre-orders. On arrival, and after inspecting the menu I noticed that we only had a 2-course one out. The wait staff then came out and took ALL the orders again and when I mentioned to them we had the wrong menus the staff seemed confused. There was obviously a lack in communication from management to wait staff. The last of our main meals came out at around 8.30 and we were due to leave at 8.50 so there was no chance of anyone having dessert which was really disappointing. One of the best dining experiences I've had out in the western suburbs. Amazing, sumptuous, loved for food, excellent customer service (Gian, the manager is wonderful!) and great, family friendly ambience. Loved it!

Great food, good atmosphere. Not intimate, but family wholesome feel. Not too noisy, which is a nice change nowadays. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a function on Sunday 3rd April 2011. What a great day!!

Definitely going for seconds for the prawn entree!
