Maitre’d unsmiling, unfriendly seemingly rather be anywhere else. She also rudely interrupted conversation without any consideration or courtesy for patrons. Unfortunately a pattern not a one off. Bread cold sliced, the same brand I buy from my local IGA. Pasta was nice flavoured but watery. Seafood platter heavily deep fried battered everything including mussels in shells. Tasted like a fish & chip shop who re-uses oil. Very greasy. Such a shame. Had been looking forward to trying this one for a while. Overpriced considering quality and care of food. Upside, great wine list.

I can't help but express my big disappointment at the end of the night. It so happens that, of the 20 guests I was expecting for dinner, only 11 showed up and, after we sang happy birthday, the waiter informed me that the cake would be taken to the kitchen to be cut. Each of us (12 people) then received our normal-sized pieces of cake, but the rest of the cake made to serve 22 people did not return to the table in case someone wanted a second piece...

The food here is some of the best you will eat around the suburbs! The home made pasta is unbeatable and their wine list has carefully been put together to compliment every meal! Outdoor dining is beautiful in the summer- looking over cottesloe beach as the sun sets is beautiful! The staff are all so passionate about their work and are all experts when it comes to the food and wine menu! It can get quite loud inside with dim lighting but the mood is set and the food is delicious!
Styled like a traditional Italian canteen replete with wall-to-wall wine racks and cheerful rustic dcor, this is a busy spot for a traditional Italian meal. It's busy and sometimes noisy but the endlessly cheerful staff and delicious food make it well worth a visit. There is an air of nostalgia with all the black and white photos from the 1920s. The antipasto plates are great. The sweets were my downfall!
Really, really enjoyed this gem right on the esplanade. The vibe of the cafe is very cool, most of the waiters/waitresses seemed to be from all over the world. We thoroughly enjoyed the shared communal seating plan, cosying up with fellow patrons and admiring (read: stalking) their meals - prior to us making decisions.
The food was pretty good, although we found the most expensive options on the menu were the smallest. I had the fruit salad, which read better than it was presented and I was a bit disappointed.
