Illawarra’s Roofing Solutions is fast to quote for new jobs, do the repair in a professional tidy manner, but should you have issues arise later & question this, expect yourself to be chasing them up, be told excuses as to why they don’t get back to you, and only after telling them of going to Fair Trading, that the owner reacts. Had our roof repaired by IRS in 2014 for a leak through the dining room ceiling due to a hole on roof. Paid $2640 to repair hole, repoint ridge capping, high pressure clean, a coat of sealer and 2x coats of paint as advised this needed doing. 25th Feb 2017, we found a leak coming through the dining room ceiling again. Called them on 27th Feb, told by the director they would call me back to arrange a time to come out to inspect. 2nd March, no call to notify me they were coming, they unexpectedly turned up at my house. Think carefully before using Illawarra's roofing solutions. I had a slight leak in the roof and I was advised that my roof required a high pressure clean to clean the roof tiles, redoing the ridge capping, applying a coat of sealer and two coats of paint to correct the problem. I was further advised that all the protective coating had gone and this could easily be seen as there were areas on the roof that had a greyish discolouration.
An inspection by me discovered that there were no broken tiles even remotely in the area of the leak and the ridge capping looked to be solid.
I checked with Monier roofing, advising them of what I had been told by this roofer, where I was told by them that:
