One word: TERRIBLE!
Where do I begin?!
First of all we felt very rushed as they brought our mains out before we were even halfway through our entrees. The rude staff kept asking if we were finished when we clearly were not. As soon as we put our cutlery down they were quick to clear our plates and literally threw the bill at us and told us to leave as there was a "booking" coming. They did not bother to ask us if we wanted any dessert or coffee! I was very frustrated and called the other staff over to see the dessert menu, a different staff returned and said "we do not offer dessert when we are busy" and snatched the menu away. We were not finished with our wine and they continued to ask us to leave. It was extremely rude it was the worst service I have ever had! I have worked in hospitality for years and I explained to the management that this is absolutely unacceptable and they couldn't have cared less! Very disappointed!!
We recently ate here on a Saturday night. The quality of the food was great but they had run out of wine glasses and suggested we drink our white wine out of champagne flute. The place was packed but the food arrived quickly, the serivce was friendly but the mood of the place was way too frantic.
We'll go back another night perhaps mid week to avoid the crazy Surry Hills Saturday night crowd.
Was disappointed with this place after reading others' reviews. It's overpriced for the quality of food on offer, and although the dishes sound delicious on the menu, on my visit they didn't live up to their promise when on the plate. Staff were courteous, but service was slow. There are better places to try for Thai.
Great Thai food in a nice relaxed atmosphere. It's BYO, which is always dangerous, but saves money in the long run. Best book in advance to be sure of a table, as they place always looks busy. Good place to start the evening before heading out to any of the great local bars.
