With pretty cool and ethnic decor, this restaurant had a distinct Peruvian vibe and is located on a small street with other restaurants nearby.
We had a light dish and two main dishes on top of Peruvian cocktail and Inca Kola (Peruvian soft drink) which were amazing!
The starter (fried cassava) is my favourite dish. It’s crispy and delicious. Much better than other fried cassava I tried before.
Then the bass grouper ceviche. Very unique. Fresh premium fish fillet marinated in fresh lime juice and Peruvian chillies.
The last dish was the Lomo Saltado. With a little bit of Asian touch, this dish is very good.
The rice itself is flavoursome and has softer texture than the ordinary steamed rice. The beef and veggies on the dish are pretty tasty too.
This is a Peruvian restaurant, new to Darlinghurst but was in newtown for 22 years before their move here. Interesting dishes with regular menu items and big plans to evolve and continue to share the food story of Peru with new items.
There is seating at the bar and a courtyard – ideal for casual after work drinks!?It would also be suitable for group functions as it is quite a big space. The walls are decorated with interlocking stone and throughout the space are ornaments similar to the ones you would see in the Inca temples of Peru. The space gets a lot of fresh air, natural light and a nice place to sit on a Sunday afternoon,?as we did.
