The ladies are so so lovely here! The place is very relaxing to walk in to. They provide so much for the people that come here. There's a great kids set up, lots of work benches for people to use their laptops or study etc, they even have a xbox for the kids to use
A quiet haven in the noise and business of Indooroopilly Shopping Centre. It really is a pleasure to enter just off the noisy cinema and here the sound of silence, observing people reading the daily paper or perusing the aisles for their book of choice. Automatic checkout machines are handy, but just as handy are the helpful staff. You can even pay for some of your Brisbane City Council bills there too.
Well, maybe things have changed in the past few years. The Indooroopilly library is well-stocked, the free internet is great and the chairs and desks are comfy, but some of the patrons just don't get it! I don't want o listen to your loud conversations with each other and on the phone!!! It's mind-boggling how any sane adult can assume it's ok to sit amongst 15 silent, studying or reading adults, and blab at the top of their lungs. And that's one of the sane people! Well, I couldn't keep quiet and I tapped the most recent one on her shoulder and asked her to 'take it outside'. She seemed truly surprised and this was after 10 full minutes of listening to her go on and on. Idiots are ruining this library (and it's a day care for shrieking kids whose parents mostly don't even attempt to keep the noise down). Beware - don't go there without your earphones and laptop set to play 'Quiet Study Music' on Youtube. The kids are annoying but the adults are worse. Rant over.
