Constructed as an artists studio/retreat 'Inspirations' is a beautiful, environmentally friendly, haven perfectly suited as holiday accommodation for a relaxing break awBeautiful views over the D'Entrecasteaux Channel are a feature in every room (even the toilet). Preparing meals in the kitchen, enjoying breakfast at the dining table or waking in the morning all allow you to enjoy the most serene scenery available in Tasmania.
The house is ideally set up for a couple with a queen sized bed in the single bedroom.
Inspirations embraces many environmentally friendly sustainable practices around the home, including:
A large rainwater tank provides clean, untainted water for drinking and washing.
A wood burning heater/oven with addition water heating functionality.
A composting toilet to reduce effluent disposal, and provide natural nutrition for the surrounding bushland garden.
The cottage is stylishly and comfortably furnished including a comfortable sofa, two lounge chairs, LED television and blu-ray DVD player in the lounge. The dining table provides seating for four with views over the beach. A wood burning slow combustion stove provides excellent heating. An ample supply of cut firewood is always available.
The single bedroom provides a comfortable queen sized bed with all bedding and an electric blanket for those crystal clear but chilly winter nights. A large wardrobe, and bedside drawers supply generous room for clothing during your stay. The wardrobe also contains extra blankets and clothes iron if you require them.
The kitchen is set up with all necessities such as two burner stove/oven, microwave, fridges, electric toaster, and kettle. Of course, all dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and plenty of storage are also available.
The bathroom contains a large cast iron bath, with shower over, a large basin, and an electric 'radiator' heater to warm your towel while you soak. An environmentally friendly composting toilet is outdoors and comes with it's own view of the D'estraneaux Channel.
