I was always a bit hesitant when thinking about personal training, but I decided that I required some help if I really wanted to get the results that my New Years Resolutions states. I have always been active - swimming, netball, waterpolo and the gym. However since training with Brenda I can actually see a difference to my overall core strength, as well as losing inches! Doing a full measurement is now fun because I actually see the results first hands. Since beginning personal training with Brenda I have felt happier, stronger, healthier and slimmer. Brenda doesnt just train you she teaches you about different aspects of fitness and strengthening your body, as well as keeping the training sessions fun and different each time. Before I started personal training with Brenda I had been going to physios and yoga classes to try and rehabilitate a weak core and deal with problems from poor training which resulted in tension from my right shoulder up my neck and in my jaw, I basically had picked up allot of bad habits in weight training from normal looking exercises, when I started at the age of 16 to 20, lifting weights incorrectly or too heavy, not stretching or warming up and not using good supported technique and balance, in result to this I become very caught up in the finish product to look big and strong with little effort on understanding the training process and how to feel good, be relaxed and healthy, I thought this is too hard to get so I spent all my time on weights and no cardio as I am a slim person, I basically couldnt do the yoga classes properly as I couldnt engage my core properly I was very confused and not getting much or any results, the physio would only give me stretches ...read more
