In order to achieve a loan approval under this programme, you must meet the normal lending guidelines (except for the deposit of course) and answer yes to the questions below to qualify for a home loan:

Do you have?:


1. Permanent employment (min last 6 months in current job or min last 18 months continuous over numerous jobs) - Casual employees need 12 months in current role - self-employed need 2 years in business plus full financials and tax returns for the previous 2 years.
2. Perfect credit history for all applicants.
3. Rental history for past 6+ months - must be in the same names of the applicant on the loan. Share accommodation does not qualify. Can be over multiple properties. Private rental ok - but 12 months in current rental needed + bank statements to evidence the consistent and structured rent payments.
4. First Home Buyers and $15,000 Great Start Grant eligible; Permanent residents & must not have owned property anywhere in the world before.
