InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort

I came here to get some time to myself and allow for thought, relaxation and contemplation. It's exactly the right place for that. Although it was at full capacity, the whole place is expansive enough that you can get away on your own if you want to. There's plenty of garden areas, walking, poolside and indoor areas to sit. The weather was wonderful and the early mornings are a dream. Service is generally good, but it suffers when the staff are stretched in busy times. Even though I was late arriving, I still had to wait for my room to be ready. I had to recheck to arrange my newspaper and my membership enables fresh fruit in my room on arrival, which wasn't provided. Concierge and reception staff are very good overall though. Restaurants are okay. Rooms are very well appointed. My suite was large, lovely and had a wonderful lagoon view. What an incredible venue for a wedding. The view from the chapel is sublime, as is the lake and greenery outside. The bar staff were great and the waiting area was well furnished (comfortable and stylish seating). They even shuttled us back and forth from the reception venue. Very impressed!

Staff are fantastic and make this lovely hotel even better. Facilities are great and I highly recommend paying extra for the club access.
