Irene Amorosi has always had a fervent interest in the visual arts, Roman mythology and the modern depiction of landscape. Having entered her work in various competitions, she has received many accolades for her innovative approach to using mixed media.
Irene was ranked a finalist in the Daring Dancing Deity competition held at the Chapel on Station Gallery, and later selected by the Toyota Spirit Community (TSCG) as an emerging artist of promise. Her artwork was also selected for display on public transport by Moving Galleries where she went on to receive the People's Choice award for her entry of 'Overture'.
In 2011, Irene was awarded a prestigious arts grant from the City of Melbourne for her notable mixed media exhibition entitled 'Beyond the Grey'.
