What a location!
I'm not from around these parts and this little place is located upstairs among a few other restaurants
I was expecting (but you would if you went to a proper Chinese restaurant) soup and prawn chips and mandarins for dessert
Food wise it's ok
Had the sambal green beans, was expecting more taste from it
The char keow Teoy was just ok
The Loh bak was disappointing,it had a lot of fatty meat in it
Staff was friendly
Prices were a little higher than expected
Overall I was disappointed
My family has been eating here for decades, and it is still one of the best Malaysia restaurants in Sydney. Their chicken rice is so good and you will be eating just the rice by the spoonful even though you are full. Their pork spare ribs in Peking sauce is delicious and we often get a double portion. The staff are friendly and work pretty hard as you can see them serving tables with such energy.
Will always be back as my family loves this place.
Been coming here for years and it is a family favourite. The prices have increased but their standard is still good even after decades of serving Malaysian-Chinese cuisine in the hills area. As you can tell from the photos the chicken rice here is very popular. Sweet and succulent chicken with all the necessary accomplishments such as ginger, chilli sauce, shallots and black sauce. Their what-tun hor is great too and the servings are large.
