Ciao, I am Silvia, native Italian, and PhD.

I am available as a private tutor and for translations, proofreading and help with academic essays/papers at negotiable rates in ALL Sydney area.

I am a very experienced teacher (also at university level: I have lived and taught in Australia in the humanities and the social sciences for five years). I come from Tuscany, which makes my Italian the standard one.

I am based in Newtown, but I can meet you at your place or in other locations (libraries).

I offer a top-quality service, and my classes are fun and tailored to your needs, with particular attention to conversation and the lived language, without neglecting the grammar.

I can teach you everything from Italian culture to travelling tips, recipes, technical writing, literature and the lot.
