Possibly the worst service I've experienced, if I could give no stars I would. Instead I have to give half a star. I don't give reviews very often, actually this is probably my second review I've ever done. I went into this shop to see if they could fix my mac book pro.
I advised them that the profile was loading and it would just shut down. They then told me that they can have a look (for an $89 diagnostic.) the one I wanted was my photos. They kept saying "we will probably need to reset the whole computer & wont be able to recover my photos and it will cost $170, oh and you should probably buy this computer it's so much better than ...read more
I went here with questions about the best option for my music business. The man was very helpful with certain information and said he would do a bit of research and email me with his findings. I never heard from him again. I was prepared to spend a couple of thousand dollars to this business but perhaps there is another business that will get it now.
I had the opposite experience of the other reviewer (new workers? New management?) They charged me the initial diagnostic fee, so I was nervous the repairs would cost me a bundle more money. Turns out there was just dirty RAM. So they fixed it very quickly, gave a discount on a can of compressed air to keep the machine clean, and didn't charge me for extra parts when they could have told me I needed a new motherboard or whatever. I will certainly be back if I ever need repairs or PC parts. Thank you lads!
At this shop I was charged $89 for the initial diagnostic, then they rang me up saying all these things are wrong with my computer and it was going to cost me more than another $400 to install necessary new hardware and software to get it working again. I got suspicious because it didn't sound right to me, and took it back. I had someone else come to my house and fix the problem (it didn't need any of the things they told me!) quite easily and for under $50. It seems these people are like those dodgy mechanics who assume you know nothing about cars and charge you for new parts you don't need at all. My advice - shop around and get a second opinion.
