Vehicle Body Work
Jackmans Garage
I just wanted to add to my previous review that I am not upset with the job they did as they did a very good job, I am only upset with the way they quoted me differently to what the actual cost was at the end. Also, that they did not bother ring me about it and also that they washed my car. I understand that in some workshops its a normal practice to wash customers car but some customers don't like it for whatever the reason and they should have asked. And that big sign they have above the office "Your Expectations Met... No Surprises"???? My final statement, you do not go ahead and do work without consulting an owner! Paul, I owe you an apology and two thank you.
Firstly, I apologise sincerely for failing to carry out your instructions. To compensate for the pain we've caused you, please accept a full refund in cash. The first thank you is for expanding the story on True Local where you acknowledged our good quality workmanship. Hopefully, the odometer and parcel tray are still good. Are they?
The second thank you is for exposing a serious weakness in our booking procedure. Whilst the tasks you wanted done were written clearly, the Receptionist did not record either her quoted figure for the odometer or the fact you wanted to be informed of the cost of attending to the other items before actually repairing them. Unfortunately, she was not present when you arrived to have the job done and I did not know of your instructions to only investigate the other items. As a consequence, all estimates of cost are now written and recorded

I have been quoted by a staff there for that job to be under 1 hr work which would be around $100, the staff did go and ask some mechanic that was there and even said it wouldn't even be 1 hr, most probably 3/4. So under $100
Next job was to secure the pins that hold the cargo cover at the back of the car boot.
They were supposed to call me how much it would be. I asked them to do the cheapest way. Not to recover the original ones that fall into behind the trim ...read more
