Jacob's Restaurant
Yes, there really is a Jacob's Creek and now you can have a fine lunch a short distance downstream from where Johan Gramp planted his first vines. The overall impact of this $5 million glass-fronted pavilion, with its vast tasting areas and audio visual displays, almost disguises the fact it also contains a worthwhile restaurant that tries hard to be a showcase for Barossa produce as well as Orlando Wyndham wines. Huge east-facing windows look out on to vines and the Barossa Ranges, while inside decisions have to be made about whether to choose the signature King George whiting dish, the pan-fried mussels in a rich tomato broth, the duck confit or perhaps just a seafood pizza.
