Cafes
Jamaica Blue
After walking around Watergardens Shopping Centre, good to come across a small cafe in the centre just outside Target and Commonwealth Bank. A few people sitting around and the staff seem pretty busy getting the drink orders and even some meals out. It was good to sit down and we ordered a hot chocolate and a latte. It came out pretty quick and was super hot just how i like it. Average hot drinks but it was nice to enjoy after a long day of shopping. After a table was finish the staff are quick to clean it so it looks nice and so that other people can sit down. So maintanence
I support as many local businesses as I can. I like to say something positive if it is deserved. If I have a bad experience I will speak quietly and respectfully to a staff member or manager to get what I want and to help them improve. It's win win.
I go to Jamaica Blue on most visits to Watergardens (at least twice a week). Like a lot of cafe's and even small and large businesses - "YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYONE ALL OF THE TIME". Personally I like to treat everyone as equals. People in retail and cafe/restaurant business are human and have feelings. Treat them with respect and you will receive the same back. I receive great service at Jamaica Blue and almost every other small business or cafe I go to because I take the time to see the effort and hard work that they put in and understand that they can't cater to everybody. The majority of small businesses will try and help you to the best ...read more
They microwave their scrambled eggs. Their crepe base comes frozen. Too many shortcuts taken with food. Should remove it from menu altogether if can't handle making in-house.
I have breakfast there at least once a week. Food always tastes great. Excellent service. Consistently good coffee which is hard to find!

Pretty disappointed came through today and bought lunch and coffee, wanting to sit down and feed our 7 week old baby, we asked whether we could get some hot water for bottle and was told no, offered to pay for hot water and was told they couldn't do this. Went to Rumba, another cafe, bought nothing, water provided.
I like to spend a couple of hours a day posting positive experiences I have at retail stores and eateries. It feels much better telling others about positive experiences and supporting small businesses where owners and staff put their heart, soul and a lot of hours into making a successful business.
WHY WOULD THEY - they would not be experts in the correct temperature for hot water to heat a bottle, especially these days with the general public seeking legal recourse for any little problem. The customer would be the first to complain if it was too hot or not hot enough. Retail shops are not there to cater to every customers need only to be complained about and put down. I work at a small business and my boss puts in 50+ hours a week to make it just profitable. We go out of ...read more
Company policy. They will not give you hot water for baby bottle. Do have bottle warmer if you already have your own bottle.
Exactly. Look after yourself don't expect everyone to provide everything for you. Think of the position you put the staff in. Especially if it is a part timer or someone who has no idea what temperature you need. Then you will really complain.
