I am writing for a second time in regard to the incredibly poor service provided at Jarvis Ford Norwood. I had my car serviced there every six months for 3 years while my car was under warranty. Once the warranty was over, I went elsewhere and today I found that my decision was a good one. I just had my car serviced at Repco in Bridgewater (brilliant) and the mechanic informed me that my spark plugs had not only never been changed but had not been checked or removed for checking. He had to drown them in WD40 just to get them out. Once removed, they were completely corroded and rusty. This is just one of a number of problems not picked up by Jarvis. Don't be fooled by the 'free' loan car (which is just added into their exorbitant prices) or their free complimentary beverage. If you want your car serviced well, go anywhere else.

Never EVER get your car serviced here. They cracked my rear light cover and completely denied it despite me having clear photographic evidence it wad not broken prior to the service. They recommend additional repairs that are not required. They are overpriced and i would avoid them at all costs.
I have been getting my car serviced at Jarvis Ford Norwood for a few years now but as of today never ever again. They recently had my car, which was still under warranty, for a little over 3 weeks to repair a gearbox that was slipping badly and making a horrible burning smell. Each week they would ring with another excuse as to why the car wasn't ready and eventually said they had sent the gearbox out to a transmission specialist as they did not have the tools to repair it properly. I picked up the car once they were finished and noticed almost immediately a knocking noise coming from the front of the car when steering. I rang them straight away and organised to drop the car off again the following day for them to investigate. I dropped off the car and advised them of the knocking noise when steering and that a separate high frequency knocking noise had developed when the car was stationary with the engine running. I decided to get my car serviced at Jarvis Ford Norwood as it was closer to home. It was a big service - even the person who booked my car in was shocked at the quoted price. I rang another service who quoted me $500 less for the identical service (from $1200 to $700). Eventhough Jarvis Ford eventually matched the price of this service, they made me feel like it was my fault when I went back to collect my car. The made me wait longer to serve me even when the car was ready (saw my car parked right outside the office as I entered) and the customer service person made some remark about the fact that I shouldn't be asking for a price match after I have put my car in for a service. They also claim that Jarvis have to pay extra for the car parts because my car is a Toyota (How about ordering it from their own branch Jarvis Toyota). Will not have anything to do with any Jarvis branches ever - over charges and bad customer service!!!
