I don't often leave reviews but these guys are awesome. Being a girl I hate to admit that I have previously felt intimidated and overwhelmed when purchasing new tyres or getting my car serviced but these guys have always been great to me. The staff are super friendly and really quick. I have never waited more than an hour even when they have been really busy. I found they have always offered me the best price (previously tried and tested). I first came to these guys as I was a local but now I will continue to come back because for me it's good prices, stress free and I finally trust a place with my car.
Just prior to Xmas my car refused to start, in a pinch I dropped it off at Jax Tyres in Prahran to diagnose the car. The next day, prior to consulting with myself regarding any symptoms they had diagnosed the starter would need replacing at a cost of $1200. I asked if the battery had been diagnosed and confirmed that it was not the culprit and after a bit of hesitation the staff confirmed it had been checked thoroughly and it was not the case.

Pretty straightforward transaction. Called Josh from JaxQuickfit to see if they would match a quote on a set of Continental 4x4 tyres. He did better by providing alignment, nitro gas and all this within 50 mins. All in all, pretty good service I would think.
thanks again

I drive an older Camry wagon, but don't mind getting equipment like tyres that are a step up from the ordinary. I did my homework, and chose some Michelins with a good rating on various forums for handling and longevity. JAX had the best price, so called up the Prahran shop. First up, the fellow tried to sell me another brand on sale which they said "weren't much different". I was not convinced, then later looked them up. They were of the "comfort" variety that would appeal to the typical profile of Camry driver, who would have little demand for performance. But worst of all, the tyres had a terrible reputation for longevity. So I rang back and asked to stick to the Michelins when I brought the car in. On the day, I got a call soon after I left the shop. "We've got the car up on the hoist, and your shocks are blown!" Really? I had the suspension re-done just two years ago, and as far as I could tell, including many trips to the mountains and the occasional unsealed ...read more
