JB Hi-Fi
I think this shop is chaotic even on the scale of JB stores! It is absolutely brimming with stock. The floors seem to be some type of ply, very industrial, which is in vogue. When I visited today I found that they even sell small kitchen appliances which is nice to know. Great range of laptops, speakers, TVs, game consoles, DVDs, Blu Rays and more.
Went there to buy microsoft for my new computer. Asked a staff member if they had microsoft office for mac. They replied "No we don't, oh wait, maybe, I don't know, maybe ask that guy there". And then continued to chat to his co-worker, laughing about there weekend plans. The store was empty of customers and minimally staffed. Thankfully, I found a better staff member who promptly directed me to the software. I wouldn't recommend JB Hi Fi if you want customer service, I find it hit and miss at all locations.
Typical crowded JB HiFi store where you feel like you're constantly in someone's way or about to knock something over. You definitely need to know what you have in mind - the customer service reps weren't able to give me any advice or techno-babble at all about the cameras I was deliberating between, and gave me a "bargain" which far exceeded a different "bargain" I had obtained at Dick Smith. Felt a bit as though I was being talked down to, might be due to the age of the service reps.
