I took my Samsung SIII and my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10'. . . both were broken (SIII phone broken screen - Tablet, not charging). . . both fixed at half the price I had been told by other people. It was done over night. . all perfect and they called me and communicated really well.
- I will note they could have charged me more, but chose not to out of honesty.
I was really impressed with JDE. The battery socket for my laptop was broken and two other IT techs told me what a fuss it would be to fix it. However, when I brought it into JDE, he said it wouldn't be a problem, the price was good, and the service was professional. He gave me an approximate time for when it would be ready by, and he delivered it on time and now it's working, and it's saved me over $700 from buying a new laptop, so thank you!
They replaced an ipod screen (my son had been using the ipod with a broken screen for about 4 months without a problem) and when we got home my son used the ipod for 5 minutes when the screen went white and we couldn't get it to respond any more. I returned the ipod to them, and they said that there wasn't a problem with the repair or the screen that it "wasn't his responsibility". They put back another old broken screen as they had thrown away our old screen, and gave me my money back, but they wanted to keep $10 for their time; I wouldn't agree to that! I'm not sure what they did but they must have damaged something as the ipod with the cracked screen worked just fine for months before they "repaired" it. Beware.
How can it be their fault .. obviously if the screen was broken they were "working with damaged goods", . . . . .why would they do anything other than to try to make it work .. . . and then. . . what is $10 for their effort.
I think your expectations were unreasonable.
I dont think it's unreasonable to take in a working ipod with a cracked screen for repair and expect a working ipod back! If the ipod was damaged it wouldn't have been working perfectly for so long. It WAS damaged in the process of "attempting" to repair the screen, no doubt about it.
