I will leave zero stars if possible.
After sending 4 emails and 1 phone call, they did not respond to our inquiry at all (just said 'I will send it to you later on the phone call which they did not) and kept throwing things THEY WANT from us such as an agreement form, initial payment, bond money etc. I had to physically go to the agent TWICE to make things moving forward — truly nonprofessional.
After we moved into the property, we were told that several damages and dirt from the previous tenant wouldn't be repaired. They informed some parts ...read more
The absolute worst choice of a real estate company to deal with. They have no idea what they are doing and there is zero communication within their agency. I don't even know how they still exist.
It took 5 emails, 4 phone calls, and contact between 3 different employees to ask us for a form which had been sent to them twice in the initial emails.
We decided to make life much easier by just dealing with another company where they helped us search for a place, have the paper work done, and the lease signed within 4 days.
Whereas, Jeff Jones Real Estate took 1 week to sort out one form which was sitting lost in their inbox.
For anyone in Brisbane wanting to rent a property - avoid this agency at all costs and your life will become much easier.
After being a fantastic tenant for 1 year, I had to break lease to move closer to work. The whole time in the property, I had nothing but issues with noisy, sub-letting neighbours, appliance problems and many others. I have found that every time I reported a problem (in a friendly, casual manner) they got s****y. After deciding to break lease, I was threatened, spoken to in a disgusting manner and not told the correct procedures at all. I get that Real Estate is a difficult business, but if you cant maintain a friendly positive attitude with your tenants when they are being nice to you, then you shouldn't be a property manager. I am done with them, and will not be renting through them again. Tenants have rights too.
After a long time renting an apartment on Brisbane's Southside, my partner and I decided that it was time to buy a house and get out of the renting game for good. So after spending approx 2 years at our current place, paying rent on time each week, and recieving numerous accounts of what good tenants we were, we then let Jeff Jones Real Estate know that we were leaving. I asked them exactly what we needed to do to ensure we got all our bond back and they gave me a list of things to check off and then let me know not to worry as if anything else needed to be done, they would let us know and we would have a chance to go back and fix it. Well this is not what happened. I had a staff member call me to let me know that all was fine however then they took approx $700 out of my bond. When I contacted them to find out what was happening, it would take them days to respond to me. They also deducted extra rent from my account and did not think it was important to ...read more
