I bought a chest of drawers which they said would arrive in 3 weeks. Months later it’s still coming from India. Don’t buy from here. They gave me a 50 dollar voucher as I seemed really upset. Like somehow I was weird. I think lying to customers and stringing you along is acceptable here.
Check other stores before you buy here. It doesn't surprise me that other customers have such a bad experience from this business.
If you're looking for a base for your umbrella, try Bunnings or Outdoor Living instead. Jeff's Shed charged $125 for exactly the same product you can buy from Bunnings for $38 and Outdoor Living for $42. I know Bunnings buy in bulk but marking up a product that much is ridiculous. No goodwill offered by Jeff's Shed when the price difference was pointed out to the owner of the store, even though we had spent nearly $500 there. We were also going to purchase sunloungers and a table but after this experience we realised products in the store are heavily marked up.
STEER CLEAR!! Sold us a table that upon arrival had a huge bow in it so much so that things slid towards the centre. It took over 3 months of an evasive, belligerent, unprofessional attitude of which they assured people were coming out to look at it and they never arrived. Phone calls and emails went unreturned/answered. We eventually, after much angst, got our money back. BUYER BEWARE!!
Steer clear. The customer service is so bad that I am truly amazed they are still in business. Being a significant purchase, we wanted to support a local bricks n mortar business, thinking that we would get good customer service in return. These guys were all smiles and promises in the showroom and did a commendable job of selling us their most expensive 'premium grade teak' 10-seat outdoor table, assuring that even though there was a warranty - it would not be needed as the table would last '15 years in any environment'. We handed over our $2k+ and waited patiently for delivery. Two weeks later, a large 10-inch split appeared in one of the surface panels, then splintered off from the table as it started lifting. It was clear that this piece was going to separate from the table very soon and leave an unsightly chunk missing. We contacted them, explained the situation, were assured that someone would be out to inspect the table and repair or replace. ...read more
Ironically, less that 12 hours after posting this I received a phone call out of the blue offering to replace our table the very next day. They were very apologetic and acknowledged that they had let us fall through the cracks due to one reason or another. Ultimately it was a frustrating and lengthy process, but we are happy that we got a resolution that both parties are happy with.
Spent $1,595 a couple of weeks ago purchasing the 'bali' outdoor setting, which included a set of matching white cushions. I was told that the cushions were machine washable, so no problems maintaining keeping them clean, simply zip them off and machine wash them. Having washed them just the once, the cushion zippers are broken and completely contradicts what the salesperson told me. I'm absolutely disgusted having spent this much money with a local retailer. I'm not interested in insincere apologies similar to those below, just don't sell me poor quality merchandise in the first place and waste my time and money. Rest assured, everyone I know currently and considering renovating their house (including tradesman) will be advised to avoid Jeff's Shed unless they are also happy to waste their time and money. Needless to say, albeit local residents we won't be back. As a consumer, do yourself a favour and read the comments others have made, I wish I had.
