Jellis Craig (richmond)

My apartment has a lot of things to recommend it. It has great light, a great location in East Prahran, good air, a nice garden and lots of birds. The neighborhood is safe and pleasant. The apartment also has a lot of problems which I wish someone would have explained to me before hand. It is a 1960s block building and thus has absolutely no sound proofing. I can hear everything that is happening upstairs, outside, and on the ground. The building is generally not well taken care of. Right now the front gate handle is broken, there was a pile of garbage for weeks in front (now it is smaller), hall carpets are dirty. My apartment (unit 2) has many little things wrong with it and some major things. It has really old floors, carpets, and appliances. The bathroom is the worst. The shower has water collecting underneath it and the tub is teeny-tiny. The building also appears to have a rental agent and a property management. I recently sold my Richmond house through Jellis Craig in Richmond and they were great to deal with. I'd known my consultant Allan for many years who had sold me the house originally (through another agency) and am really pleased with the result. Jellis Craig were competitive, very professional and had a great marketing strategy. They were also prepared to open the property three times a week including Sunday's to ensure we had as much coverage as possible.

Whilst my property was passed in at auction they didn't pressure me to take a lower price (unlike other agents where I've experienced this before) - we reassessed the market and they went above and beyond to find the right buyer at the price I wanted.
