Jen Fox has over 28 years experience as a psychotherapist and counsellor addressing experiences related to anxiety, depression, life changes, loss, creativity, dreams, illness and symptoms, conflict, existential issues and relationship dynamics.
Psychotherapy involves a therapeutic conversation between you and the therapist where together we map and explore whatever it is you are experiencing, both the difficulties and the seeds and strategies of change. Challenges arise, are faced and grappled with in a therapeutic climate of tender support and acceptance. Therapy is an experiential and awareness process which is emotionally demanding and strengthening.
This form of therapy is not a medical treatment, nor does it involve the prescription of medication. Psychotherapy aims to increase one's sense of well-being and can take anywhere between 12 weeks (short-term or brief psychotherapy) and a number of years of treatment in order to make long-lasting changes.
Jen has trained across a number of psychotherapeutic modalities and is an accredited somatic psychotherapist and process-oriented psychotherapist.
