This place makes the best chips!!! I've tried a lot of fish and chips joint and always come back to this one for chips. Its cooked "old" style so nice and tasty, unlike the crispy 'fake' tasting oil that most places use these days. Don't care if its not as healthy cos it tastes awesome!
I asked them what fresh fish they had - they opened the chest freezer and pulled out a variety of frozen blocks of fish which they identified as 'fresh'. Fish was grey and mangy. Potato cakes were so oily the paper around them collapsed. Chips were overbooked and soggy. Do yourself a favor - get Chicken, Thai or Indian a couple doors to the right. Yuck.
I have never had a problem. One of the good old fashioned fish and chip joints. If you don't like oil I suggest try something not deep fried!
