I was referred these solicitors by my real estate L.J. Hooker Surry Hills.
Firstly they insisted I sign a contract before the purchaser as as it was an auction contract, there is no cooling off period. I then went through with a different purchaser and was repeatedly emailed and posted (to the wrong address - took 3 goes to get them to correct it).
When I finally insisted on having a specific staff member respond to my issues they called me and in my opinion was rude, argumentative, refused to let me speak and then blamed the errors on the delay from the real estate agent.
I'm still waiting on a receipt for an interim payment I made halfway through my settlement. It's been over a week and still waiting........
I was also referred to these solicitors. If you are going to use them make sure you ask that you only deal with jeny as she is fantastic; very, very helpful & professional unlike other staff members. We were origianlly dealing with one staff member who told us that we were eligible for the first home owners grant even though we said over & over that we didnt think we were able to.
We & our bank were told that in fact we were, that searches had been done on the previous property & we were definitely eligible- found out on settlement date that we had been rejected (which we found out ourselves-never got a call from a solicitor even though the osr said they had been informed) When i asked them about it i was told to "calm down":& to just sign a stat dec to say my partner & i didn't know each other??? I was furious & refused to sign it & also refused to deal with the rude & arrogant staff member & asked to deal & speak with jeny only who was an absolute gem.
