I was outraged.
I called to have a plumber come to my home to repair a leaking tap.
I had to pay $135 over the phone for the booking and the first fifteen minutes.
On arrival the plumber told me that the price to service the tap was $445 and if the tap had to be replaced the price was going to be $750.
Unbelievable!
I told him to go. I'd rather lose the booking fee than submit to this kind of extortion.
And then, just to be nasty, the plumber left our front gate open so the dog, (a super friendly labradoodle) got out.
This company is quite dreadful. An absolute rip off!
Jim's Plumbing contacted me, apologised and promptly arranged a refund of my deposit.
They also promised an investigation into the circumstances.
