Jin Yan Asian Cuisine

A great Chinese Restaurant inside Castle Hill RSL.
They serve yum cha as well as made-to-order dishes.
Seating area is very spacious so it would be suitable if you come with a large group of people.
The venue has Asian inspired decor with brown and red as dominant colours. Pretty cool vibe.
I came here for lunch during weekday and they were not that busy. Service was quick and efficient.
They have a large variety of yum cha dishes so that’s definitely an added bonus as some places have very limited choices.
All dishes that I tried was delicious but my favourites: bbq pork bun pastry, salt n pepper squid, egg tarts, pork spare ribs, sticky rice, chicken feet and roasted duck (well, the duck was a little bit too salty for my liking but still tasty and the sweetness from the plum sauce gives a great balance).

This is my go-to for family yum Cha. It's our favourite in the area as it has a good variety of dishes at pretty high quality. Plus the environment is great especially with the extension onto the balcony to make the place feel a lot more spacious.

We recently had dinner with our friends at this restaurant. It was one of the most noisiest Chinese restaurants we've been to for a long time. We measured the noise level with our smartphone apps and it was over 100 dB!



But the worst part was they overcharged us with beverages we did not order, plus a couple of dishes that we never order. The over charge was over $50. They admitted to the mistake after we pointed that out to the wait staff. I don't mind the food was a little expensive, but ripping your customer off was hard to swallow. Won't be back, ever.

The service is really bad, it took too long to wait for an dish we ordered.... No one care about you.....

Fantastic, friendly service, 1-2 weekly with friends and have never had any late dishes / cold food as one person mentioned below. I have nothing but praise for this restaurant. My only complaint is their siew mai is not that great but every other yum cha dish and even their A la carte menu is wonderful, tasty & well priced :)
