Thank you Nick! (Note: Nick now owns and runs John's Paint and Hardware. John sold the business some time ago). On the weekend we were painting the upstairs of a house (4 bed and a hallway) and it was a disaster. Paint was peeling of walls and skirting boards and ceilings.... My dad recommended we go to Johns Paint (as opposed to say Bunnigs) as they could provide expert advice. We took some big chips into Nick and he was able to tell us what was going on (exterior paint on unprimed walls and ceilings.... Water based paint atop oil paint on skirting, architraves and cupboard doors and oil based gloss on walls requiring a primer). He advised us what we needed to do to fix the various problems and then provides us with the materials. We may be prepping and painting for at least the next year but are so thankful to Nick for his help.
