Jonah's restaurant is set in a beautiful location overlooking Whale Beach, a short drive from Palm Beach. On a recent visit to Sydney, I took my parents here set on giving them a dining experience that showcases a bit of Sydney and we were not disappointed. Upon entering the restaurant and being greeted by the smiling staff it became easy to see how Jonah's has won so many rewards and this was all before we tried the food! We were sat at a restaurant by the window to admire the gorgeous view and immediately felt very relaxed. I had the king salmon, fried zucchini flowers and the duck as my three course lunch. Each dish was better than the last. The duck was one of the most colourful and beautifully presented dishes I have ever eaten. The whole experience just made me want to go back to stay at the boutique hotel and try the food at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We've been to Jonah's once before for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, however on this occasion we left feeling very disappointed with the service we received. My partner and I had bought my Mum and Sister a breakfast for 2 voucher for Christmas and we went along for breakfast with them. We were sat at a table by the window as I had requested but unfortunately that's where I felt the service ended. We received our coffees and then sat there for 40 minutes before anyone came over to us and when they did they assumed our order had been taken care of. When I let them know that we hadn't even received a menu they apologised and brought them over. We had juice but one of the glasses had green marks all over it so had to send it back. The breakfast was a 3 course menu. First course croissants and then we had the choice of the 2 following courses.
