These folks are passionate about what they do whether it be fixing a flat battery or rebuilding a relic from scratch. They don't need reviews, or a web site because word of mouth referals have them booked out for weeks. They are the antipathy of a modern day franchise service centre and a throwback to the good old days when a real mechanic knew how to fix something without replacing everything the manufacturer wants you to pay for.
If you are lucky they may just find a slot for you on their client list.
A customer of JRG for over ten years, I can honestly say that I have always been 100% satisfied by their care given to my car, their honesty and reliability. When I first moved to Mornington I asked around as to who was known in the area as an honest, trust worthy and capable garage where my European car could be serviced. JRG was immediately highly recommended to me by several people and I can only add to their praise.
When time came to change my car, my first port of call was to seek advice from Joe and I certainly was not disappointed by his advice and guidance. My new car is now serviced by Joe and his crew. I am a very happy customer and my car is in extremely good hands,
Joe and the team are first-rate in their attention to the problems with vehicles - I've had a mid 90s BMW that was serviced several times, and regularly, with them. Obviously, cars require regular servicing and Joe is only to happy to hear from his customer's. I can only highly recommend Joe from my own experience, and consider him the go-to person and a great guy as well! Definitely worth contacting and chatting to / meeting about your needs.
It is disappointing to find a local business that is so unreliable, and disinterested in their customers. I am a patient man, but they had my car 3 week, promised to look at and phone me 4 times, never phoned once, and when I had had enough and collected my car undiagnosed and unrepaired after 3 weeks, I did not even get an apology. Sad ?.
