Julie Keegel

Julie Keegel is a registered Brisbane psychologist with experience providing psychological support to children, adolescents, adults, families and groups. Julie has had training and experience in both private practice and Queensland Health. She was previously placed at the Royal Brisbane Womens Hospital where she gained experience providing psychological interventions to both inpatients and outpatients with both medical and psychological diagnoses. During this time, she had the opportunity of providing psychological support to patients on the waiting list for Bariatric Surgery. While undergoing advanced clinical training through her Clinical Psychology Doctorate degree, Julie also worked in the university clinic, facilitated a group for Parenting Skills Training, and an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder intervention group for adolescents. During this time, she also received specialist training in treating complex mental health conditions, conducting neuropsychological assessments and she was also involved in supervising intern psychologists.

Although Julie has experience providing psychological support and intervention for a wide range of psychological difficulties, she has a particular interest in Anxiety Disorders, Eating Disorders (such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge-eating disorders), Weight Management, and Health difficulties that impact on mental health.
