I hired K&N Traditional Landscapes to buid a rock wall some time ago for a significnt amount of money. He said it will last a 100 years. This is now, only 6 years later showing signs of failure and got someone else to assess and fix.
It turns out that this wall was never built according to the engineer's specifications, and as submitted to the shire. It had to be build on a concrete footing with reobar, and I have that in writing. It is instead bult directly on the ground with NO FOOTING at all.
I'm gutted that this guy conned me and ripped me off and am now left with a massive bill to repair.
I'm not happy at all with Nick's work. It did not match the quality finish of what he showed me before I hired him.
The work was not done according to the contract, and did not cart away the rubbish as discussed, but instead was dumped on my property - ruining my garden beds.
He also rushed the work at the end (I assume he had another job to start).
Nick had the most expensive quote out of the three we got and were expecting nothing but the best, which we did not get.
