Kaneda Sushi

This place does great and fresh Japanese sushi.

This is a convenient pokey sushi place that offers really good value sushi at decent prices. You can get hand roles in the brown rice option. The teriyaki and also raw salmon with avocado are my favourite. Make sure you ask for extra soy and wasabi sauce to compliment. I find usually 2 hand rolls and 1 miso soup to be quite satisfying. This place is a good stop-off point if you are in a rush and it also serves a fair few tourists.

Back because of popular demand. Kaneda is just a great cosy place to have Japanese tapas. From previous experience i had to come back and try other items on the menu. Enjoying the delicate sashimi to start with and this time round between a few of us we ordered a few tapas dishes to share. Just as good and authentic experience as first time, the staff makes you feel as though you are in Japan. The tempura and octopus fried balls were popular so we ordered a few of these. We also ordered miso soup for the last tapas given the weather, it was perfect. This time round Kaneda was not as busy but as soon as a table leaves it would be filled up again with in 5 to 10 minutes. Must try Kaneda if you have never been. So far all the dishes i have had here is very good, reasonable in prices, quick service and worth the experience. Will be back to try their ramen and rice curry next time.

I felt like i was in Japan. This little restaurant brought back great memories, oh how i miss Japan. The service, the staff, the setting all just makes it a wonderful dining experience for those who have never been Japan before. The staff speak Japanese and have a genuine friendly personality which is how Japan is like. And to mention the best part, the food is definitely worth mentioning. I'm not a raw food eater, just knowing the food isn't cook i get a funny feeling putting it into my mouth. But the many times i've been to Japan i've always avoided the raw fish and thats what Japan is all about. So i thought i'll give it a try especially all my friends are saying "you don't know what you are missing out on".
