Owner refuses to take accountability for doing a very unsatisfactory job. He offered to redo floors after recognising the mess he made and offered to go over with another round of sanding. Today the owner came to review his final coating and highlighted the patchyness across the loungeroom floor, is due to the floors being not good!!?? I addressed how there was inconsistancy with the smooth areas and the rough areas, more rough than smooth. My floors are hardwood floors and are in excellent condition. 20 years old only. I chose to refresh my floors with a matt satin waterbase finish instead to give it more of a modern feel and look. They now look like i have spills everywhere and in need of a clean. We used kangaroo floors inFeb 2020. We wanted a hardwood floor and a large area of cork flooring in the kitchen and earing area, sanded and sealed. Their quote was extremely reasonable,but you get what you pay for. They did an ok job sanding the hardwood floor although the final coat is patchy. However, they massacred the cork floor, using too heavy equipment and sanding too much off, which will now have to be replaced. Not only did they sand right through the cork in several places, they poorly patched a critical area with non matching cork, a really dodgy job, the finish on the whole floor is patchy and rough and they did not use appropriate dust extraction. I was left with an unbelievable mess to clean up.
