Kantine Cafe Bistro
One of the busiest cafe spots in Surry Hills and you'll know why once you've been. The coffee is made really well, the food is always so fresh and tasty. I'm a big fan of their breakfast/brunch menu, however they cater for both lunch and dinner and are fully licensed.
So I've heard great reviews about Kantine so I thought i'd check in for breakfast, funnily enough at 3pm.
I entered in a foul mood having a rough day when the lovely barista Wil greeted me with a smile and warm welcome. Wil convinced me to eat in on the big communal table before offering to introduce me to the locals sitting on the same table so I didn't feel lonely. Impressed.
I ordered the free range eggs with hash brown, roasted tomato and turkish bread and a cappuccino for great price of $15. The food was good, and the service even better. Checking up to ensure the meal and coffee is to your standard. No need to ask to have your water topped up, they're on the ball.
Great place to catch up with friends for brunch or come alone and sit at the communal table like I did and make new friends.
Fresh and funky all the way. Kantine offers delightful food and drink treats with an array of street photography pics covering the walls. You kind of feel like your in that 'too cool' guy's city apartment (but a good way). Exceptionally friendly staff and some of best juice you'll find in Sydney.
