APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RUDE EMPLOYEE.
Whilst I have always previously appreciated the Karen Millen brand and have made multiple purchases both in Australia and the UK, I was very disappointed after a recent purchase of boots which"fell apart" after only 4 weeks of wear. Unperturbed I contacted the store thinking that they would recognise the obligation that they have to their customers to provide goods "...of satisfactory quality, fit for the purpose and lasting a reasonable length of time". Initially I was told that "winter boots are an anomoly", they are not necessarily suitable for wearing on winter days when it is raining! A further update to this situation-I was able to locate a contact for the area manager and also spoke to another employee in the Melbourne store-both were vere helpful and apologetic and the area manager organised replacement boots. Just to inform people of their rights in this area. If an item has a major fault-this is defined as a fault that prevents them being used for the intended purpose i.e soles falling off.- then it is the consumer that can choose whether to repair, replace or refund.
