The décor is simple, yet you feel the warm and friendly atmosphere of the Himalayan kingdom through the beautiful paintings of the country's famous landscapes and the friendly staff. The menu features a variety of vegetarian dishes as well as Himalayan non vegetarian specialities. Nepalese food is not rich in spices as compared to Indian but still has the right amount of spice to satisfy the tastebuds. Try the tender goat curry or lamb Kathmandu cooked with chilli, capsicum, mustard seeds and curry leaves and not to be missed is the superb flavours of the Himalayan sundired lentil balls curry. From the first bite of momo (popular Nepalese dumplings) to the last bite of mouth watering lal mohan and Kathmandu delight desserts, each offers a taste true to its origins. With the restaurant's modest prices, you can afford to splash out on lots of the accompaniments like daal - a blend of lentils, onion and tomato with cumin seed, dry chilli and garlic - or cucumber raita and don’t miss the breads - especially the aloo paratha which is naan stuffed with lightly spiced potatoes.
