Our family has used Katoomba Tyre service for many years. Always had good service and today Jonathon excelled himself. I had a flat tyre and the NRMAHad a 4 hour wait due to work load. I have been using Katoomba tyre service since I started my business for 4 years ago and have found them to competitive on pricing, unparalleled on there customer service. The staff are fast and efficient in getting the job done. I will be continuing to support our local businesses and recommend others do the same.
I have used this business on several occasions in the last two years since moving to he area. They have always offered me professional and timely service. Their customer service is exceptional and they always offer those little extras at no charge.
In my experience this business is not price competitive and doesn't give good service. After a blowout of a tyre, which NRMA changed, the management offered a used tyre to put in the boot as a spare while they quoted on two replacement tyres. After more than a week's wait and a couple of follow-up calls from me, I finally got a quote from them for two different types of tyres. On checking the price with two other well known tyre fitters, I found that the price they were charging on both types of tyre was close to 30% more than they were offering. I called them back and informed them of these quotes and asked if they could offer a more competitive price. They tried to justify the price by claiming freight cost (which in subsequent conversations turned out to be only $5 per tyre), then when this failed, they made appeals to supporting local businesses. I am sorry your recent experience with our tyre shop was not as good as you felt it should be.As i explained at the time with the Xmas shut down in our industry ,getting tyres that were not in stock would take longer. The tyres that did arrive were the price Iquoted. The $30 charge was for disposal of your old damaged tyre, fitting of and balancing a roadworthy safe- roaded tyre for a loan spare. This charge is not passed on when tyres are purchased from our shop.Thank you for your initail enquiry and I wish to still offer your first 10,000km tyre rotation and balance free, and a free tyre pressure check anytime.Please continue to support local business.
