Kauri Hotel

I’d been to this pub before, though it was quite a while back, and since I was back in Sydney I decided to visit it again, even if only to get a better idea of what this pub was like. Well, as it turns out this pub is basically what you would call an ‘old man’s pub’, namely it is one of those pubs that has some character, but more like your traditional pub as opposed to your hip and trendy innercity extravaganza. Also, it tends to have a bunch of regulars, usually older men, that make this place their second home. Anyway, as a pub it is nice, and has a bit of character, but don’t expect any fancy beers on tap. Also, it has a pool room upstairs, as well as a rooftop deck, which is pretty cool, but once again not all that flash.
