Middle eastern restaurant in Balmain beautiful interiors, with coloured walls, mosaic plates with a moroccan theme. A large open restaurant that caters for breakfast, lunch or dinner dining. We were there for breakfast and begun with tea and breakfast cocktails. For the tea, we got the kazbah love: cinnamon, hibiscus and rose buds - we had it as an iced tea on this hot day. I got a mimosa with grapefruit juice - very refreshing. We chose the breakfast tagine of lamb mince, sausage, spinach, roast capsicum, eggs, tomato, feta and caramelised onion. This was so big - plenty to feed at least 3 people. It came with pita bread and focaccia. I did enjoy my Moroccan meal here. The tagines are terrific and full of flavour. Staff are friendly and it's unpretentious, much like Balmain which is still quite bohemian ( despite the expensive real estate !). I've only ever been for lunch but I have heard that the weekend breakfasts are legendary . Dates are one of my fave foods and they had them in one of the tagines we ordered. Thanks !
Possibly the worst restaurant to dine in Sydney. The food is below average and the staff are very rude. It took them 30 min to bring us menus and once our food was brought, it tasted below average compared to how they present themselves. This restaurant does not deserve to be in Darling Harbour and I'm still wondering how its not out of business with its terrible customer service. Don't waste your time
Kazbah in Balmain offers a up treat for Breakfast Club as part of the October Good Food Month in Sydney - available for breakfast Mon-Fri.
$20 (usually $30 I believe) gets you a trip to the Middle East with a breakfast feast designed to share; wholegrain barley and oat banana porridge with brown sugar and date compote; warm rice pudding, saffron poached pear, cinnamon and hazelnuts; sweet couscous with nuts, dried fruits, stewed rhubarb and ...read more
