I love finding little gems that locals love and am so pleased to have discovered Kelby's. It has been around for many years and the past 3 years has seen new(ish) owner Moe doing up the interior and creating a new menu that have many traditional dishes with a modern, Middle Eastern flair to them which I love. It was so difficult to make a choice from the interesting menu & specials but first up was the Egyptian breakfast - a slice of sourdough holds sauted sliced sweet potato, rocket, house made hummus, fetta, poached eggs & an AMAZING house made dukkah. It was a healthy flavour bomb and every bite felt nourishing, tasty and ...read more
This cute little cafe is located on Marrickville Road. Make sure to check out the awesome looking mural on the side of the cafe and get some selfies with it!
The inside of the cafe seems homely and familiar even if you haven't been here. The service was top notch and very hospitable.
The menu will have something for everyone and the bonus is that they have an all day breakfast menu so even if you wake up late on a weekend you won't miss out on getting your fav breakfast items! We visited here as a group and thus allowing us to enjoy a variety of dishes. We had the Egyptian Breakfast, Eggs ...read more
Kelby's cafe is cute little space in the heart of marrickville.
Take your seat outside or in, order yourself a coffee in one of the fav little tea and saucer cups and you'll be particularly pleased with the leaf brewed chai lattes. A good menu with a range of healthy fruit salads and indulgent meals like benedicts or burgers, there's something for everyone.
We were in a group and decided to share, opting for all the specials to get a taste of everything. We had the chill scrambled eggs, and green eggs but the crown favourite was the omelette cooked with potato and feta with a side of toast. Kelby's hash was another winner with chat potatoes, baby spinach, leek haloumi and sujak sausage, being topped with eggs and benedict sauce.
A space that seems newly renovated and it's bright and welcoming inside. They also have extremely hospitable staff and lovely food all round.
